If you check the stats, attendance for the Raiders was better in Los Angeles than the long term average after they moved back to Oakland.

Part of the issue with the Raiders today is brand related I think - and the team has been down. Their brand has been soiled irreparably by the association with gangs, hip hop and NWA specifically.

Yes, it’s been like that, for a long time. I used to work at the Anaheim Theme Park. One of the guys in Security had recently retired from Anaheim P.D., and said doing security (off duty) for Rams games was a coveted assignment - good pay, easy work. They usually had about 50 officers, per game - except when the Raiders came to town. Then, it was 200 officers per game, and that was still not enough.

A cop in Santa Ana was once quoted as saying (back when both teams played in So.Cal) : “Did you ever notice we never have any kids wearing a Rams jacket, that end up in the morgue?” .
