In the movie, Wings, a cart dog is removing the injured pilots off the battlefield away from danger. Best I could see they were Rottweilers. Wings, a silent movie, won the first Oscar for best picture. It was produced by Howard Hughes, was Gary Cooper's first movie, and the flying stunts were done by Corinth, Mississippi's Roscoe Turner.
