Human Trafficing is rapidly becomnig the #1 problem, even before the narcotics trade.
The Bride works with Juvenile Justice here - it’s a lethal business, two of her “kids” recently turned up dead. She tells me the kids are in danger from these sickos, and the younger the better.
That’s horrible. I do that too, but our biggest problem is violence and drugs...........
Violence and narcotics are a big part of her day, but The Bride tells me further that her department is getting pressure from above: Human Traffic is getting attention from the governor’s mansion on down.
They want it stopped, or at the very least, they want the slide halted.
Human trafficking is riveting, and way more dramatic than drugs and violence. No one can criticize stopping human trafficking. So fascinating. That is one reason for the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children, so kids don’t get moved from state to state without both states’ governments knowing it.
