Wasn’t he sporting a black eye a couple of years ago? I am like others and very skeptical of this story. What elastic strap for an exercise machine snaps and ricochets like a giant rubber band? Those soloflex bands won’t do that. I use to have one of those soloflex machines and they are only a few inches long. No way to get popped in the face.
I am pretty sure he was roughed up a bit. Was it a family member or a mob disciplinary move? Who knows? But it sure does not bode well for the republic when any senator can be beat up and it gets covered up. It reads like a Godfather story line.
