Continuation of long term trends, of people moving away from high tax liberal states. States which also have severe winter weather to endure.
It is all migration from Union states to right to work states.
Energy poverty is on the rise especially in those States.

I’m fine with that as long as the snow birds don’t bring their penchant for big government.
I’ve posted on other threads that a couple of years back there was a projection of the largest US cities, and within a couple of decades all but one or two of the top twenty most populous would be in areas that didn’t have snow in the winter. It wasn’t just a function of heating costs; on top of that I believe it was about the reliability (of being able to get to work, to school, etc.).
