Lets not forget that for the last 52 years the politicians have been working overtime along with their allies in the entertainment industry to convince you that you really don’t need a gun.
I remember a TV show from 40 years ago in which a bank robber has hostages in the bank. One of the hostages is an unarmed off duty cop.
Now for the stupid scene. One of the hostages raises the cuff of his pant leg to show the cop he is carrying a pistol in an ankle holster. The cop gets the gun, AND THROWS IT OUT THE WINDOW!
TV shows from 1968 on, all had anti gun messages in them.
The Second Amendment IS security - secure in the right of self-defense. All the martial arts in the world are really only means to gain access to serious ways of killing your enemy, and projectile weapons are probably the most efficient way yet to severely disable or kill that opponent.
Don’t people watch ANY Bruce Willis films?
Stands corrected.
Next question: Do you trust your government? A well armed citizenry keeps governments on the straight and narrow. Switzerland is a shining example of a populace armed to the teeth with a well run, respectful government.
Who is it who sad: “FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS”
Oh yeah—that was Charleston Heston.
I’m with him .
They took guns from law-abiding citizens, yet let the bearded savages run rampant.

The security of gun control is a false security. Perhaps illusionary security might be a better way of putting it.
People every year are killed by their fellow human beings using; rocks, knives, axes, ice picks, pillows, fist, feet, baseball bats, plastic bags, zip ties and any number of other things.
Gun control simply removes the most effective means of people to defend themselves from those wishing to do them harm.
If is a simple truth that people have always killed each other before the advent of firearms and after. Firearms are simply the best way for the weak to defend themselves from the strong who will prey on the weak.
There is no possible way that the government can prevent the people from killing each other. If one person desires to kill another they will easily find the instrumentation to accomplish that goal. The question is can the intended target defend themselves?
Firearms are the most effective means of doing so. Firearms are relatively inexpensive, easily understood and durable. Why should the people be denied the ability to defend their own lives when it is obvious that the government cannot?
