Don’t forget “if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.” Just as we’re expected to provide for our own _physical_ food, shelter, etc we’re also expected to provide for our own _physical_ defensive tools.
I know what you're saying. And as people living in a fallen world, Christians may defend themselves, with deadly force if necessary. I was just saying, in a lighthearted way, that in my vocation as a pastor, I do not rely on the weapons of this world.
