I thought it would be a breeze since I was able to teach myself Russian.

But That was a Half-Century ago.

I taught myself to read music.

But that was 10 years ago.

It’s not so easy nowadays. I can’t seem to find those brain cells I misplaced.

Can read music, thanks to the tutelage of several patient musicians of the female gender. Can still read, to varying degrees, Latin, French and German, by virtue of my own efforts - but thanks to Sr. Giles, OSB for the Latin, and Sr. Anna, OSB for the French.

Every time I'm called a Male Chauvinist Pig, I reflect on the fact that most of the influential teachers I've had in my life have been women - Conservative women, of course! God Bless them all!
