In the olden days neighborhoods were often clearly defined. You did not go on that side of the tracks, or cross that bridge. Now days, you really don’t know where it is safe unless you are in a gated community.
As a result, I prefer to do my driving in the day till I know a town better.
I didn’t venture out to midnight Mass for that very reason. I get in before dark and stay in.
Ask St. Tray 'bout that.
Re: gated community
Ask the doctor in CT if your theory holds true. You know, the one who had his daughters raped and then set ablaze.
Reminds me of a trip to Columbus MS in the mid-90s. A poster city for the new south, black and white everywhere and really cordial with one another. About 50% each.
But then I was told, after the sun goes down DO NOT cross to the south side of the tracks. Some blacks will warn you off, some will slice you to pieces.
After dark there were two towns. And they did not cross. Ever.
Both sides kept the unspoken rule.
Every area I’ve moved and this was many times, there are places you simply don’t go to. Everybody is aware of that.
In this situation I can’t for the life of me understand this entire ordeal...she was apparently let out of jail...then smoking pot or whatever...sounds to me like the parents were just determined to make someone pay.
Look at all the ones we’ve been following...every mother said her “baby” wouldn’t harm anyone etc. etc. The denial is off the scale when it comes to kids who have missed up their life.

Use GPS and program in the intersection of “MLK Boulevard and Central Ave”. Put a 3 mile avoidance circle around it. That is a minimum avoidance area.
