Liberals everywhere were outraged this week after Rush Limbaugh said a black man playing James Bond would be “ridiculous.” The comments were made on Tuesday in regard to leaked Sony emails that revealed that CEO Amy Paschal wanted the black actor Idris Elba to play James Bond. Rush, however, wasn’t having any of it. “James Bond is a total concept put together by Ian Fleming. He was white and Scottish. Period. That is who James Bond is, was,” the conservative radio show host said. “But now [they are] suggesting that the next James Bond should be Idris Elba, a black Briton, rather than a white from Scotland.” “That’s not who James Bond is and I know it’s racist to probably point this out,” he added. I was half listening to Rush when he was talking about this. He said that the leaked emails were saying Sony said they couldn’t have a black James Bond because Europeans wouldn’t watch it if Bond were black. I did not hear Rush say the above remarks but I would guess they were in context to what the Sony emails were saying, and probably were being said used to point out how hypocritically Sony is.
Well as a superspy he could easily play an ethnic black Russian, ethnic black German, ethnic black Romanian, etc. The guy was such a master of espionage...
It matters not what conservatives do, or say they will always be branded racists, but it is the racist RATS who voted against all the civil rights Bills.
