I live in Maine, and if I want to, I can walk into my local WalMart and buy ammo using cash....there’s no record. Cash and carry.

Same here in Indiana. It's no different buying ammo than buying shampo. I strongly recommend that everyone else in this situation use cash to buy their ammo.
