“War is cruelty” according to WT Sherman. Well, he was right, and for another example, with plenty of colorful language, George Patton had plenty more. In my words, twist the enemy’s arm until they surrender, an beg for a treaty, even if it is on your terms. Sadly, it seems the PC attitude has taken over, an the U.S. is on a spiral in the drain.
One very hearty “Huzzah” to this author and may God Bless every one of us this Christmas season. This article couldn’t be more spot on. God Bless America!
AMEN!
I like it.
Bravo!
I still do this. I can't take credit for it but the best answer if a women objects is "Well, I'm not doing it because you're a women, I'm doing it because I'm a gentleman"
God Bless Us, Everyone!
Thank you for a very good post.
Reading the authorsame line that he has a healthy distrust of government I am reminded that a phrase associated with the NYPD cop shooter these paat 2 days is ‘anti government’.
Let’s see where THAT one goes.
I don’t recall where I heard it, but used that very line when opening a door for a “womyn” who was offended.
Merry Christmas John Hawkins!!!
Thanks for posting this. Kinda the way most of us on FReepublic feel. At least I hope so. I try to show respect when it’s warranted and until someone proves they don’t deserve it. Doesn’t matter to me if they are a hotel housekeeper or a CEO of a major corp. I’ve met both ends of the spectrum. There are a lot of “rednecks” that I’d rather hang out with. :>} Hope you have a safe and Merry Christmas.
To love one's country is patriotic ... To trust one's government is foolish.
Wonderful!
The reason men love women is because they aren’t like us.
AMEN!!!
That was first manifested itself on November 4, 2008 and reaffirmed itself on November 6, 2012, My FRiend.
I make it a point to speak to the maintenance staff and janitors where I work. Everyone likes to feel appreciated.
And in talking to one of the security guards I found out that he too is a former Marine and served in Vietnam.
Merry Christmas everyone!
While I generally agree with the authors sentiment I am not sure I agree with what is inferred here. Sounds somewhat utopian. I do care if you are Muslim. Why? Because being Muslim affects your outlook and who you are. You may be OK but your religion teaches harm to me and mine and the fact you are Muslim is what alerts me to potential harm. I also care what race you are. If I come across a pack of young black males the fact that they are black I do care about. I also care that blacks largely believe in Black Liberation Theology and a whole host of other race specific and anti white ideologies and beliefs. I could list other reason of why race and religion do matter and to me it is Utopian/Marxist to suggest they don't.
Anyone who uses the phrase “African-American” supports the antithesis of this article. I think using that phrase should be ostracized.
