You could think that, by observing humanity. However, acceptance of conservatism takes personal effort.
Liberalism is based on feelings and not logic...I feel good that the homeless are helped, I feel good that women are not enslaved by the patriarchal system, etc.
Conservatism requires you examine the logic of actions...by not taking a rich man’s money and filtering it through the government, it can more effectively give the homeless a job that lifts them out of poverty, and when the homeless earns his money instead of being given it, he has pride and spends his money frugally.
We don’t always examine the logic of our actions.
We like to think we do.
