Fortunately for us when they nationalized their oil and screwed over the oil companies they lost the technology and know how that went with it. They have been struggling ever since.And now with prices tanking they are really screwed.

I was curious about that tech blog Rush referred to. He said he wasn’t going to refer to the author by name.

I think I found it. I Google’d the phrase “dozens of adages and fables that explain” which Rush read from.

Turns out this was written in a blog post 3 days ago by Dave Winer who has been heavily involved in Internet technology. Some things he created were blogging and RSS. I haven’t read the whole blog post yet,
