Ezekiel goes on...
A critical portion of this prophecy says that the invasion will occur when Israel is at peace.
“I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates...”
The Security Walls that Israel has built must be taken down before this invasion can take place.
Look for a “false peace” to accomplish this...

I have been to Israel twice. With the exception of old Jerusalem, virtually no cities have walls and battlements. Israel's army is more mobile and less entrenched.
Additionally, the Ezekiel 38-39 verses focus on the Mountains of Israel which is primarily Judea & Samaria (known today as the West Bank). Even though the world calls it West Bank, God calls it Israel...(Joel 3)

Not necessarily because very little of the nation has actual walls.
