I spent many, many good times in Gulfport, MS while I was growing up. We frequently would drive from the family farm in central LA and spend long weekends there. Dad was good buddies with the owner of a specific motel, and we always stayed there.
I used to like Gulfport and Biloxi before the Casinos and Katrina...Oh well, places change.
