It was averted, because when the gun jammed and the guy ran into the building, the cops got him. He would have done it again if he had not been apprehended.

Rumor is he jammed the gun against the cop.
I assume it caused the slide to go out of battery.
Thank god for thugs thinking they’re soldiers. Poor soldiering by bad men saved a lot of lives.
