People aren’t appreciating the depth of this. It’s a move to destroy the supply chain. Few guns are completely built in the USA (not a trivial number, but not as robust a supply as needed); plan on a practical end of non-domestic guns & supplies - and that means so far as “gunmetal”, specialized chemicals, anything they can regulate into oblivion to cripple domestic firearms sales.
They won’t come for your guns ... but they do intend to ensure you can’t buy, fix, or feed any more.
That is why I bought spare parts and donor guns...
Alternatively, those "off-shore" companies will start American subsidiaries, and move part of manufacturing here.
And if THAT fails, then gun owners will take to the "black market" which has existed in the past, exists now, and WILL exist into the future.
Ding! Ding!! Ding!!! Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
The number of gun shops appears to be diminishing, especially those with gunsmiths. And we are still in, what, year 5?, of the domestic ammo shortage. Still can't buy a brick of .22 LR at the local outdoor shops and WalMart.
