It's a valid one of course.
So, in my own opinion, his body of publicly available work speaks to his character and ability to rationally look at problems instead of spewing jingoistic, inflammatory, and self defeating propaganda.
That in itself is a VAST improvement over what we have now.
His policy statements on everything from domestic policy, especially the evil of ‘Obama Care’, to foreign policy is well thought out.
I have more government, political, military, foreign policy, workforce development, intelligence and business experience than Dr. Carson, but do you see me running for the highest office in the land? Of course not! The idea is laughable on its face! There’s a reason we don’t elect novice newcomers to that office. Go read the biography of George Washington, Ronald Reagan, Thomas Jefferson, William McKinley or Dwight Eisenhower.
I agree with you. He is an accomplished neurosurgeon with a long and accomplished career at Johns Hopkins, one of the very best. He also has suffered his own health issues and has a sense of humility, and he is very philanthropic in supporting bootstrapping-type programs for those most in need (charity, not government mandated social programs). If It weren’t for his second amendment policy I would support him unreservedly.
