Well, not every Muslim is made equally. The Kurds, for example, are Muslims, yet they are tolerant of Christians and Jews, they are brave soldiers, and they love America (it is the sentiment I hear constantly) and it was only among them that our soldiers could walk aroun without body armor, enjoy their off time in restaurants, etc. Also look at the before and after photographs of Iran before the Mullahs take over. One final anecdote, I deal with students from Saudi Arabia, the kind that don't explode, and their attitude towards Fundamentalist (true) Islam is encouraging to hear. I don't know if it's possible to make all of Iraq like that, but, at the very least, we can kill the terrorists, stop Christians and Kurds from being slaughtered, look into giving the Kurds a homeland, live peacefully (enough) there with our soldiers at least in their military bases if not.
I don't know about cutting off funds though. If we're funding the Saudis, that would be pretty horrible. But if you mean "buying their oil," well there's a cure for that: It's called fracking. And Israel also has found a massive oil source which they are looking to enjoy. This will also sort out the Russians too, as we can see from their ruble crashing. It's funny how many problems we can solve by just "drill baby drill!" as Palin recommends.
Noble sentiments. But in practice & reality truly useless.
yes our oil and gas production is very strategically choking the saudi and dubai money. we will see how that plays out. I thot the Israeli finds were gas. where did they find oil? and yes the kurds are fighting our war for us. funny that a people with a name like kurds could be that noble.
