the verse is about God's longsuffering... in that longsuffering, a "criminal" can be lead to repentance... or he could continue in his sin... but Kaarma took things into his own hands and put any chance of repentance out of play... moreover, he set it up and waited for it to happen... not unlike Abram and Sarai taking things into their own hands...

why does Kaarma wish he could go back in time and do things differently? his heart was not right when he shared his plans with others, and it was not right when he set it all up... right-thinking people do not wish to be violated... he wanted to be violated so he could punish the violator in his own way... that is not biblical...
