Do you think that “the powers that be” will become concerned with the Constitution's standards for a President in that he has to be a “natural born citizen”? Ted was born in Canada; held dual citizenship until a couple of years ago; mother was an American; father was a Cuban, becoming a naturalized citizen in about 2005. His name is being bandied about as a candidate, he's collecting money, but I can just see the NY Times, et. al., at the last minute becoming enraged, shocked, etc. that someone not born in America is about to become president.

I don’t think R’s will make an issue of Ted’s place of birth.

If I understand the situation, he was born to an American mother who happened to be out of the country for Ted’s birth and that Ted is NBC.

As for the NY Times...who the heck knows w/ that group? What I have noticed is that the NYT does not have the power it used to have in forming public opinion.
