LOL! I don’t know what would be worse-Major Dick or Major Major(Catch-22)
My husband serves with a Colonel Major. I was confused for a while, thinking the Air Force had invented a new rank.
I was an angry person when I chose my screen name. Now I’m not so young and the Catholic Church has given me peace so the name no longer fits.
I’ve never had a problem with my nickname, it’s what I’ve gone by for 64 years. I used to be kidded about it here and there and my answer is: “I’ve been a Dick all my life and I’m not changing now”, “I’m the only real Dick in the room”, and in my early military career as a Marine sergeant, “Keep it up and you’ll find out what it means to be Dicked”.
The Major Dick name was always taken in the humorous nature with which it was given.
