One day after saying Elizabeth Warren and Ted Cruz had no idea what they were trying to accomplish, syndicated columnist George Will said Monday on Special Report the pair have two exceedingly strange careers underway.
Will told Fox News Doug McKelway that Cruz is indifferent to politics being a team sport, adding further that there hasnt been a more peculiar career in the Senate than the one Cruz is currently enjoying.
The conservative columnist also said while Democrats are bemused by his antics, he is loathed within the GOP caucus, while also telling McKelway if Cruz doesnt get the GOP nomination in 2016, assuming he runs for it, his return to Washington will be awkward.

The fellows on what's supposed to be our team have been playing for the other side. They have been getting paid to lose; damn well paid, too.
Now they are angry with Cruz because he dares to mention it?
My husband used to be a junior high basketball coach, years ago. Like most teams of kids that age, in a small town, the social structure was well established and the little ball hogs were not about to let anything change it, let alone a new coach.
So, my husband told the starters that if they didn’t run the plays as he wrote them, he was going to bench them, and that is exactly what he did. The next game, my husband started a couple of boys from his special ed class. The parents were furious, but he made his point.
The GOP elite are ball hogs.
FU Will.
Dickhead George Will would think that the Sons of Liberty should engage in team projects with the British occupying Boston.
well the Demorats played it as a team sport and look at them now!!!
In case he did not notice, half of the caucus voted with him. By voting against him the leadership must in January choose to give battle or be shown up as liars.
How could George Will sit next to Cokie Roberts and Sam “*ickhead” Donaldson for years and not want to sucker punch one and set the other one on fire. Yea, a true conservative. /s
Actually, I believe that George Will is enormously intelligent. And I most often agree with his views.
In this particular case, however, I must disagree with the man. (I also disagree with his view that it is better to allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons than it would be to confront them about it; although, in all fairness to him, he really is quite uncomfortable with either option.)
Time for the GOP to play follow the Leader, Ted Cruz.
There is only one team George and we are sick and tired of watching it play itself.
Confront them, Hell, blow ‘em up, make a statement to the Chinese and Russians. DON’T TREAD ON ME.
The main stream media is geared up to try and take down Cruz and Will is looking to lead the charge. What a POS.
“Cruz is indifferent to politics being a team sport, “
Another way of saying Cruz doesn’t compromise his principles.
....”Will told Fox News Doug McKelway that...” Cruz is indifferent to politics being a team sport,.....
Translation: Won’t join club Publicrate.
Not going to give media attention...will likely try to keep him otherwise occupied with junk news early on just to cut him off at the gate.
George, the “team” cheated in Mississippi. I’m now a free agent, at least until Team Cruz gets on the field.
Your graphic is hilarious! Like the touch of a squirrel on Biden’s head. ....Obama reminds me of a Ferengi from ST:DSN.
Legislation is serious business, not sport.
George Will seems totally indifferent to the fact that curtain rods go over the windows and not directly up the rectum.
