The US House passed a continuing resolution before the midnight deadline. But the Senate did not take it up. Therefore by failing to pass their own resolution, THE SENATE DEMOCRATS SHUTDOWN THE US GOVERNMENT.
They thought of this. They passed a 48 hour CR to give the Senate time to vote.
What the GOP does when they assume more control in 2015 will be their report card.
Regardless what the GOP does in 2015 I will vote for Cruz, Palin and maybe others (undecided).
We still have a tiny sliver of chance.
That’s about all the optimism I have.
THANK YOU! Only a small part of govt is actually shut down. The last time, the dems capitalized on it and made it look worse by closing down National parks and war memorials to get media coverage. At least that’s my take.
the ide goes up?
No shutdown. Senate’s deadline is Sunday per FOX.
I sense though that these masks are going to get pulled off during the course of the next few years. You watch.
Hope you are correct. I know this.. it won’t be any of the RINOs doing the tugging...
“”what happens when the ebt goes down?””
Just what Dear Leader Obamao wants, race riots across America.

Isn't it crazy, the dems whine and moan about a non-existent "shutdown" and Boehner and his pubbies are terrified they'll be blamed for something can never actually happen.
Boehner's boys are such a brave bunch, LOL!

Rand Paul On Shutdown: "Even Though It Appeared I Was Participating In It, It Was A Dumb Idea"I said throughout the whole battle that shutting down the government was a dumb idea. Even though it did appear as if I was participating in it, I said it was a dumb idea. And the reason I voted for it, though, is that it's a conundrum. Here's the conundrum. We have a $17 trillion debt and people at home tell me you can't give the president a blank check. We just can't keep raising the debt ceiling without conditions. So unconditionally raising the debt ceiling, nobody at home wants me to vote for that and I can't vote for that. But the conundrum is if I don't we do approach these deadlines. So there is an impasse. In 2011, though, we had this impasse and the president did negotiate. We got the sequester. If we were to extend the sequester from discretionary spending to all the entitlements we would actually fix our problem within a few years.[Posted on 11/19/2013 12:16:51 PM by Third Person]
In addition, Boehner has almost single-handedly obstructed passage of a National Right to Work bill. He is a joke.
Per Lars Larson the last time the gubmint shut down about 83% still ran without a hitch.
So it is only about a 17% shut down this (and last) time .
