Egyptians of ancient times looked much as they do today.
There were Nubian dynasties, but then there were also Canaanite, Libyan and Greek dynasties.
Only idiotic Afrocentrists, somewhat of a redundant phrase I admit, believe Egyptians were “black.”
The whole notion of dividing people into large “race” groups was foreign to the ancient world. Egyptians were racist (by our standards) against everybody who wasn’t Egyptian, Jews against everybody that wasn’t Jewish, and Greeks against anybody who was not Hellene.
But the idea that all three were part of a larger “white race” that should have solidarity against the “black race” was utterly unknown.
