No, I didn’t even consider suing. It was a minor inconvenience despite being tense. The cops were cool about it and apologized personally as well as giving me a card with the number for an internal affairs department.
I was in the hood (Parkway party store in Jackson Michigan) and he was expected to turn up in the area. I did look like the guy and I was driving a car that was close enough in color and make.
They did catch the guy in Tennessee or something after he severely beat and old man and stole his car.
That is definitely an adrenaline producing event. I wonder how many years of your life were shaved off by that?
Everybody hates Bill de Blasio.
Hermie The Elf says, “Bill de Blasio? I’d pull every tooth in that dumbs**t’s head. What kind of man makes up his own name and puts a ‘de’ in it?”
Some of this really is good advice, especially for young people who haven’t been driving very long. What is not so good is for De Blasio to join others in disrespecting and demonizing the police. He’s a little too eager to paint all cops as racist dangers to the public.
Why would it not be justice to sue the one the police were after? This seems to me a gaping hole in the modern system.
Give it some time. Warren is throwing the cops under the bus as we speak. Won’t take too much longer after that.
