That’s what one of the kids told me, that because of the papers her father made her sign, she was no longer a child of a “legitimate” Catholic marriage in the eyes of the church and therefore a bastard now. I don’t know, I’m not Catholic, all I know, is my friend was distraught over it and her daddy’s the real bastard.
