As jttp pointed out, usually the editor writes the headline. I agree that VDH is one of our most brilliant conservative thinkers and writers, as well as being personally very humble. In addition, VDH just suffered the sudden loss of an adult daughter. Attacking him, on such scant evidence, seems out of line.
