I read what I thought was an interesting article by Andrew McCarthy early this morning. Holder, etal are talking about a Fed civil rights investigation, etc. However, Andrew writes that they have no grounds to press charges for same. From the article:
“The deaths of Michael Brown in Missouri and Eric Garner in New York are each tragic in their own way. But in neither is there a federal civil-rights case to be had. To think otherwise, you have to be getting your advice from Al Sharpton the huckster confidant of President Obama and Attorney General Holder.
The law of civil rights requires the government to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant, usually driven by racial prejudice, willfully acted violently in these cases with the evil purpose to deprive a person of specific federal rights. Lets put aside the utter absence of proof that race had any bearing on what happened in Staten Island, for example, where police supervised by an African-American officer came to the scene because of complaints about Garner by local business owners. It is virtually impossible to prove a civil-rights violation when there is no denying that police were engaged in a good-faith arrest and were put in the position of using force because a suspect resisted.”

I agree. I think there’s a lot more information on these incidents than the public is aware of or has been reported. With any luck maybe it will all come out eventually.
but I do like Kasich.

Heres what he did...just so everyone knows...
Gov. John Kasich Ohios Own Obama?
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3111567/posts
Quote:
Ohios legislature lobbied by grassroots groups the press acknowledges only to sneer at stripped Medicaid expansion from the state budget and even passed language explicitly forbidding it.
Kasich responded by line-item vetoing the Medicaid expansion ban, and then unilaterally expanding Medicaid when several more months of emotional blackmail didnt work.
The legislature wouldnt grow government the way Kasich wanted, so Kasich took a page from Obamas playbook and pretended the huge policy decision was an executive matter.
End quote
And it is possible that Kasich has violated Ohio Constitution - although the article below is related to something else, theres a link to the Ohio Health Care Freedom Amendment which 66% of Ohioans voted FOR.

John Kasich felt religious responsibility to expand Medicaid and implement Obamacare

Still, beyond Dubya, we also had Denny Hastert and Trent Lott as “Leaders”...
My opinion is they hurt the brand deeply... And now Lott is back putting his RINO mouth out there to try to continue his legacy...
As JimRob said, FUTL!
Sit down and shut up!
Thank you! I’ll be able to watch these without having to see the whole program.
You’re spot on. Too bad the media/press won’t report these things and they are ignored in classrooms across the country.
Yes, I did see that on November 11th and it was striking!
We can get by without a car here but not the boat...
More reasons to keep our best US Representatives and Senators in place where they are. We need new congressional leadership and Tea Party aligned individuals are the best ones to step into those positions.
Given time and future wins, that can happen unless they leave and run for the presidency or return home to run for governor.
Of possible interest is that organized crime includes gangs, mafia and the muslim brotherhood.
Way back in the old days on FR there were stories of muslims running illegal cigarette sales out of North Carolina. I just checked Google and found that they are still in business. hmmmm
I have and I saw a picture when it was full (really beautiful) and another picture when they were removing the poppies. A wonderful remembrance.
Thank you for the link - great pictures.
I am unhappy whenever the police use force, especially death... Still, I wasn’t born yesterday, and understand there are plenty of really evil people out there...
Having said that, too many dogs getting shot and some officers getting pumped up on steroids trying to bulk up, which is illegal in sports so why not with the police FGS?!
I do think there should be a civilian review board for every police department and the police should NEVER be allowed to unionize.
As retired military, I know the government is imperfect and sometimes there are bad guys in uniform. Too many cops act like soldiers nowadays. I personally get torqued whenever I see police in full camo or BDUs (which stands for BATTLE dress uniforms!) and full auto firearms like the military. They aren’t the military, and need to put the GI toys away and go back to being Peace Officers. We don’t need as many SWAT teams as there are now nor practically any armored personnel carriers in our police departments.
I think looking at where police departments are going and the future of policing in America that is supposed to be home of the free and land of the brave cannot be a bad thing. But trying to tie racism into it is over the top.
I think you are probably right (unfortunately).
For sure, the Keys are a popular diestination for the UK, France and Germany as well as Italy.
