I’m not trying to justify Obamacare, but when you have a $100,000 hospital stay (not uncommon if surgery is involved), the $6500 deductible I had WAS NOT like having no insurance.

Yes, and even “preventive care” is (largely) not really covered, except by the insurance companies’ twisted definition of covered — see my post immediately above.
