I didn't think any Republican conservatives existed at Oberlin, Flamboyant or otherwise.

There were some, including a certain Barry, who was at Oberlin at the same time as Dunham. However, the Barry in question turns out not to match any of the other clues she put in her book. Read John Nolte's account on Breitbart, which the current article rips off.

That Barry helped bring to the campus a well-known conservative author who spoke on Oberlin’s history of false “racism” incidents.

That’s the sort of topic that would make the average “prog” uncomfortable, and these days anything that makes a female student uncomfortable is considered a sex crime. So that may be an early step in the “logical” evolution of those claims. Or maybe she was just so enraged at the existence of some people on campus who didn’t agree with her that it “ruined her college experience” and she’s getting even.

Hollywood attracts and rewards folks like this. Rationality is an alien character trait to them.
