Thugs lying in wait? This guy (allegedly) sold untaxed cigarettes. That’s it. That’s the “crime” that led to this incident.

My point being that typical, regular, law-abiding, decent, and honorable people (who might very well be on a Grand Jury) do not wish to have their hand "forced" due to concern whether an angry bunch of thugs will riot.

Something to think about any time legislation is proposed to prohibit some activity. Ask yourself "Am I willing to KILL the people who do it, if they disobey the ban?"
