I’ve never been a public worker, but I would refuse to work for a community that called me a racist just because of my skin color.
I just would not do it. I would quite and apply to work for a community who had more respect for me and my work.
Doesn’t seem to bother the Ferguson police, though. If I were them I would have walked off the job en masse in protest to the protests.

I agree. This has happened before where harassed cops pulled out of violent hoods. Then it was said to be racis for the cops to not answer call from the violent hoods. Damned if you do; damned if you don’t.
