All officers of government are sworn to insure domestic tranquility within their jurisdictions. It’s one of the primary purposes of the Constitution.

I thank God every day that I am retired. In todays world, I think that instead of pursuing a law enforcement career, perhaps a mail order business of selling ant farms and fresh cow chips would be a better choice. ;>)

It won’t last. As soon as the crime wave begins to ebb, the grumbling will being.
When PD responds to calls in said areas, suddenly no one knows anything but when they can’t solve the crime suddenly they don’t care about black lives.

That's exactly what these guys want -- don't you guys get it, don't you remember how revolutionary groups like the VC have always operated, to exclude the "discountenanced", "illegitimate" lawful government from large areas, and to labor to establish new, revolutionary "authority" there instead? Even collecting taxes in parallel with, and in competition with, the legitimate government?
These guys want to establish a "liberated zone" on U. S soil in black communities, and start their Maoist revolution there -- Black Pantherism on steroids, even with federal sponsorship.
Don't you get it? The Ferguson cops are illegitimate, lawless power because they are white. That is the game.
There are valid, historical reasons for not giving up in disgust, but compelling ones for going in and fighting these guys with counterinsurgency tools, n/w/s that they are powerful people with the resources of the federal government at their beck and call.
