ISIS and Turkey are closing in on a deal that will allow the ISIS military and allied forces to use Turkish bases in their campaign against Iraq and Syria.

Why do we need a deal with our NATO “ally” to use air bases? Isn’t NATO the “deal”???

the agreement could include a safe zone along a portion of the Syrian border to protect refugees and certain opposition forces that would also “be off-limits” to aircraft from Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government.

I imagine IS will try and flood the zone for protection.

Unfortunately every country courted by the US State Department know with everyday they can extend negotiations means more dollars the US will put up to get their signature. I suspect Kerry and Clinton have given the most of all and received the least. State is known in international circles as a cash cow.
