Reasons are as you pointed out in addition to knocking off the US and the rest of the world from endless fracking which would destroy the Saudi monopoly on crude.

Endless fracking maybe, but the oil will still be there. I don't mind that we use up Saudi oil as opposed to our own as long as it is cheap.

I do hate to see any of our economy suffer so with a new Congress perhaps we can ease off some of Obama's/Left-wing/Econut pressure on those doing fracking, if possible. I'm not sure what such regulations add to the cost of oil extracted via fracking, but if it's like anything else in government regulation; probably a lot!

I once asked a friend of mine who is relatively higher up in the energy field if he believed in Roswell.

I challenged him that if he did it changes the entire equation for energy.

He got it. It did bring home a key issue.

If Roswell was true,if it did happen if all those deathbed confessions were real, where did the grays fill up all those saucers. It probably wasn't Exon,Shell or Hess.

Faced with US oil and lower prices, the Saudi’s are keeping their prices lower trying to compete with US oil and gas. Let the mid east sell to other countries while we develop our own oil and gas. Let mid east countries keep their prices lower and force them even lower still.

FYI, the break even point for our oil companies depends on quality but it seems to be between the high 50’s and mid 70’s.

There are a ton of regulations on our O&G industry. From exploration and development to production and supply. We have more O&G today but it’s coming from private lands, not government because Democrats have blocked exploration on public lands. Every aspect of producing O&G is over regulated.

Once we have a Republican president we can expect O&G to boom even more than it is today. The key is to get rid of all the rules and regs that are hurting the industry as 0bama keeps trying to kill the fossil fuel industry. As well as opening public lands for exploration and production.
