Its sad.

Reminds me why I left the big city for the small town and have never looked back.

Peace, serenity, safety - these are things money can’t buy.

I’m glad my life won’t be cut short by some ruthless thug because I happened to be outdoors at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Depends on demographics, not the size of the town. I'd rather live in San Jose with a population of about 1M vs E St Louis, population 25K.

I used to live in a state where you needed permission from the police just to go shopping for a gun and carrying a pen knife was considered being "Offensively armed".

Now I live in a small town where I can walk up to the ATM outside the bank's front door, lean my shotgun against the wall while I fish out my wallet and card and the only comment from a lady entering the bank is "Is that a Mossberg Mariner? My Hubby is getting one for Christmas (But don't tell him)"

Yes. It actually happened.
