Are you about to enjoy your Thanksgiving turkey? Well, Salon writer Lindsay Abrams wants you to stop. Stop right now! Not content to give liberal ideology a rest even on this holiday, Abrams attempts to guilt trip her readers into giving up turkey for Thanksgiving.
Her arguments against turkey are pretty much what we've heard before. That modern Thanksgiving turkeys are not natural in that they are too fat to fly or breed. Also we get hit with guilt trips about their living conditions. Of course, such turkeys would never even exist in the first place if they were not so ideal for the Thanksgiving table in terms of weight and cost. So here is Abrams doing her to dissuade us from enjoying turkey today:

Instead of worrying about us eating turkey, which I am going to enjoy in a couple hours, how about discussing Obama’s history of eating dog? I don’t mind the Chinese eating rat and pigeon so long as it is clearly marked on the menu when I visit China (which it was last time I was there). The pigeons I enjoy are better called Cornish Game Hens. But, today, it is TURKEY, including the skin, stuffing, and gravy!

Eat more turkey. It’s the stuffing, gravy and other sides that are loaded with calories.
If I had my way, I’d have a roast turkey for thanksgiving, a smoked turkey for Friday night and a deep fried Cajun turkey for Saturday
Sounds good. A tofu turkey with marshmallow stuffing and some lawn clipping salad.

That is the best part. Day after leftovers. Of course, if you have the option, a wild turkey is far better.
Yeah, I don’t understand the reasoning behind Pescetarianism. Perhaps for supposed “health” reasons, but it makes no sense otherwise.

Anyone trying to determine whether they are a liberal or a conservative need only scan the raft of articles libs put out like this one, basically tearing down all our customs, traditions, and beliefs, to conclude a sane person cannot be a liberal.
