The USSR was the Russian empire, the one that colonel Putin is trying to reassemble, and if you remember the cold War, it was brutal, dangerous and nasty, and we did not dominate the Russian empire, for one thing how do you think they built it?
The 1970s was also big gains for them, huge gains as we showed the weakness that you call for, the “submission”.
So you think Obama is going to authorize the use of force in direct conflict with Russia?
I remember the Cold War do you? I remember we won it, do you? Or did the country that dominated us, had the huge gains, to which we showed weakness win the war? The USSR lost, in a big way, they lost the entire empire. The USA won, not NATO.
The USA that won that war, that dominated the USSR and forced it into submission, no longer exist. What we have now is a weak Russia and a vacuous USA.
