“Even if prosecutors tried him on lesser charges of involuntary manslaughter, they might well have come up empty – and most people would have accepted that result of a fair trial.”

They actually did try him on the lesser charges. Look it up. He was charged with 1st degree down through involuntary manslaughter. Just like everyone always. I prefer liberal lies to have at least a basis in truth rather than just regurgitating the talking point without any attempt to match it to the readily available facts.

NO they didn't - he wasn't indicted so he won't be tried on ANY charges because there won't be a trial. Granted, lesser charges were submitted to the GJ but that wasn't the point. The author said that had Wilson gone to trial on a lesser charge and been aquitted, then people would have accepted that. I pointed out, based on the Travon case, that had he gone to trial on a lesser charge and been aquitted we would have seen the same or even worse rioting.

“”He was charged with 1st degree down through involuntary manslaughter””

Make that everything from 1st degree down through unlawful discharge of a weapon.
