Amid fire and looting, the St. Louis County Police Department is reporting heavy automatic gunfire coming from rioters.
The gunfire was reported near the intersection of West Florisant and Canfield Streets, S.t Louis County Police said via social media. Automatic gunfire refers to guns that are not readily available on the civilian market, because more than one shot is fired with a single trigger pull. While civilians are not able to legally purchase those weapons, there is a large underground market for them. St. Louis Police has not provided additional information about the shootings.
This is the latest escalation of anarchy in Ferguson as anarchy continues to reign over the city following a grand jury clearing Officer Darren Wilson of any wrongdoing in the shooting of Michael Brown.
Following the announcement of the decision, groups of protesters turned to looting, vandalism and now to shooting machine guns.

The lesson Obama will draw is that we need more gun control for law-abiding citizens. After all, automatic weapons were used by criminals, if the reports of automatic fire are true.

There were also several reports of blacks displaying guns out car windows or to incite the crowd prior to the GJ announcement.

If thye set up a 50 cal, crew-served, then we are hearing “heavy” automatic fire.

They just recently opened a gun store in my neighborhood. If I'd had $21K sitting around idle, I'd have bought an MP5 Saturday. It was freaking beautiful. Fantastic guns. It was "new", (pre-'86 but unfired except at factory). It's already gone I suspect.

I have a friend who lives in the area. He told me last night that at one point over a hundred of the rioters approached a neighborhood away from the principle streets associated with the unrest..
They were met by around fifty men from that neighborhood armed with weapons from handguns up to AR-15s and hunting rifles. These residents fired their weapons into the air when the rioters approached with a significant discharge for a minute or so. The rioters turned away and went back.
Same type of thing happened during the LA riots when they tried to expand. With the same results.
If the Police and Guard are not out there in sufficient numbers to quell this, then the law abiding citizens will...and should...band together to protect their own.
That’s a big part of the second amendment...to allow citizens to be prepared to defend themselves against tyranny like this...whether domestically generated or generated by others coming here from outside our borders.
Obama, through his words and actions, is instigating and promoting both forms.
There’s a device known as a “Fleming auto sear” which can be acquired for about $21,000 that will allow you to turn any semi-auto HK into a full auto MG. You can swap it between your semi-auto HK91, 93, and 94 as you see fit. The sear is the only serial numbered transferable item in this case. I have a PTR-PDW that I want one of these for. I can’t justify that kind of cash for a toy though. I did just get my NFA trust established and will be acquiring some cans soon however.
