The Ferguson grand jury is expected to make an announcement today about whether Officer Darren Wilson will be indicted for fatally shooting Michael Brown back in August. Brown family attorney Benjamin Crump was on MSNBC earlier this afternoon talking about the impending decision, and Joy Reid asked him exactly what the family is planning if Wilson is not indicted.
She first asked if theres been any official communication between law enforcement or government officials and the Brown family. Crump said there has been none whatsoever and that its obviously painful for them to have to wait like this for an announcement.
As for what their next step might be, Crump laid out the following options:
If theres no indictment, the federal government is investigating the matter, so they will want to know if theres any federal charges, but if not then the only remedy they will have left is a legal civil matter, and so were going to explore every legal avenue to get them some sense of justice.

It’s his job to explore every legal avenue whether there’s an indictment or not.
Agree. Wilson should sue Brown's estate for damages. With all the T-Shirt and memorabilia, there should be something. Wouldn't it be awesome if Officer Wilson got a cut of every Gentle Giant T-shirt sold!

You sayin’ you haven’t already!?
What stopped you!?
Be careful what you wish for there Bennie boy — discovery might get a bit, shall I say, “awkward”.
Bravo, officer. Give the man a raise.
What a hill to not die on, but they insist.
And Wilson should counterclaim for a whole host of actions: defamation, assault & battery, for starters
Trayvon Martins parents tried to reach a lawsuit settlement through mediation and either the HOA or its insurer offered a $1 million settlement. But Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin rejected this $1 million settlement.
Eventually, they did reach a settlement outside of court, but when Trayvon Martins parents lawyer, Benjamin Crump. filed the paperwork the settlement amount was blacked out on five pages since the parents wanted to keep the amount confidential. Considering the previous settlement offer of $1 million was rejected as being too low, it can only be speculated that Trayvon Martins parents settlement was at least in the seven figures range.
In the same time frame the lawsuit was filed, Sybrina Fulton also filed two petitions to patent and trademark Trayvon Martin merchandise including the phrases I Am Trayvon and Justice For Trayvon. Such Trayvon Martin merchandise is turning out to be quite lucrative ...
Apparently Benjamin Crump is a good attorney to squeeze money out of scared Home Owner's Association and T-Shirt Mechanizing. Not so good at getting jail time.
Michael Brown was 18-he was an adult, not a minor, so his parents are not responsible for his actions. But they may be responsible for running their mouths to incite violence and other such things that could be grounds for a civil suit.
I don’t doubt that win or lose, Wilson will sue someone-as he should-his ability to pursue his chosen profession has pretty much been ruined...
Actually; he was 18 (legally an adult). But the way the media keeps pimping the "unarmed teen" narrative; it has become ingrained into everyone's consciousness that he was a 'minor', which is exactly what the media is trying to do.
If they were objective; they would accurately describe him as the 6'4", 300lb, fully grown man, whose sheer physicality can be used as a very effective and lethal weapon against a smaller victim.
Well, it's always been about the money for his 'parents'.
His 'mother' made that apparent after she had grandma beaten and stole $1200 from her.
Much worse than a circus, but I understand your point.
And maybe this is the real intended end game. To really juice Ferguson through use of the FUD factor.
This is a battle that is so nonsensical if it were moral principle involved.
He could show up as a cop in some other state, with perhaps some other name. But the bother factor....
Brown Family Attorney: Well Explore Every Legal Avenue if No Indictment
Translation. If they don’t hang that whiteboy we will make sure to get him some other way..........
That is certainly possible-but I still hope he sues-after all, relocating and assuming a new name is something done all the time by mafia and cartel rats-in the secret witness program...
will Michael’s family do anything with his unmarked grave
He could just start teaching self defense courses. Course #1 “How to keep a thug from trying to take your gun away from you..... ever again.”
Blah blah blah ... you got nothin’.
