Yes - the forensics is a big deal. Brown's blood on the gun and in the squad car sure puts the “shot in the back from 20 feet” to rest.
Several black witnesses agreeing with the cop's statement.
Forensics showing he was not shot in the back, or with his hands up - contradicting his friend's statements.
OTOH - they say Wilson told Brown to get out of the street. While that is obviously a reasonable thing to do, I wonder how much testosterone was flowing. By Brown, perhaps walking slowly in the street, and intentionally being rude as the cop car was driving. And how intense Wilson's reaction to Brown was.
Looking at that video of the robbery, it looked like Brown had a real cocky attitude - perhaps because of his large size. And Wilson, having a badge, may also have had a cocky attitude - as perhaps witnessed by the video tape that surfaced of him confronting the guy with the camera awhile ago.
Based on the evidence it seems clear that this was a case of self-defense. But - I wonder how things would have gone differently if both had been a little more polite if my wild assumptions are correct?
Thugs walk in the middle of the street to avoid the video cameras.
