That’s what I was wondering about the stores that weren’t boarded up. (McDonalds, liquor store, beauty supply).

They obviously wanted the insurance money. :(

Anybody watching CNN? They've got Anderson Cooper on with his image superimposed on a live background of the scene to make it look like he is actually standing in the midst of the action, when in reality he is in the safe confines of the indoor studio.

And then there is a female African-American reporter who is actually on the ground in the middle of this with two big white guys standing behind her watching her back. At one point, some rioters began throwing things at the white guys. The studio person she was talking with suddenly urged her to move away, saying that it didn't look safe. She replied that she felt quite safe. Of course the same couldn't be said for the two white guys watching her back.
