Me too. It reminds me of my mother. I cook the same menu she did and keep to the traditional things. Bryan isn’t into low-carb, but I am because I’m Type II. I have changed the recipes to low-carb, and he doesn’t seem to be aware of the difference.
Or he’s just being kind to me, which he is, all the time.
I make a mean zero-sugar cranberry sauce, too.
I’m making my mother’s grape salad in her honour this Thanksgiving. I’ve made it before, but not lately, so this will be nice. Mr. T and I try to eat low-carb most of the time, but this is one holiday when we make some exceptions. Mr. T. will use a sugar substitute for his cranberry sauce, pies and whipped cream. The dressing and gravy will be traditional. We’ll spend the day cooking and sitting in front of the fire, along with watching any football we can find on TV. Mr. T is a great cook.
