OK, do we have to explain this again. Obama is not a "normal" politician. His goal is to transform America permanently. It doesn't matter if in the short run, the Democrat Party is devastated, because Obama can count on the Republican Party not to stop and undo the transformation. For the moronic elected Republicans, they see their job as "making deals" to pass legislation, protect their own phony-baloney careers and "conserving" the status quo, no matter what the status quo is. And avoid "confrontation" at all costs, while they are regularly defamed, smeared, gone around and disrepected at every step. But they don't want to "sink to that level", they'll stay on the high ground ...... on quicksand.

Why shouldn't Obama do what he is doing and sacrifice the Democrat Party for now? He's been grubering them for years and they don't know what's good for them. The Democrat Party will thank Obama later, once the permanent transformation kicks in and the Democrat Party becomes the permanent majority. What's not to like?
