This is the left's definition of tolerance, not to be confused with true tolerance and understanding.
That is, the left considers themselves generous to a fault in giving those who disagree a certain grace period in which to conform to their will.
Once they comprehend that their enemies (= anyone who disagrees with them) won't budge or be bullied, they count their enemies as reprobates, deserving of aggressive corrective measures or outright punishment and persecution.
THIS is how they can sleep at night. They are the tolerant left. It's not their fault if they have to resort to thuggery and violence. Why, they gave the "misguided" soooo many chances to comply!

The expression “I’ve bent over Backwards to accommodate you” is the hallmark of one who is smug and self-righteous, and under the grandiose delusion that he is always right, but has to extend his largess to people who are stupid and stubborn and WRONG because they don’t agree with him.
ANYONE who uses that expression is suspect, because it betrays the exasperation of the arrogant, all-knowing, all-wise, super intellect when having to deal with the hordes of pusillanimous “hoi polloi” who crowd around “His Royal Awesome-ness” making unreasonable demands.
I know that my Faith forbids me from hating anybody, but I am filled with such immense loathing when I see or hear that man, that I suspect that there is a spiritual component involved.

Exactly. His premise is that he is always right, and that he has “graciously” allowed time for the ignorant to come around.
It’s the mindset of bully bosses and passive-aggressive coworkers, relatives, or other associates. No such thing as agreeing to disagree, or cooperation on an even level.
It’s power for the sake of power, and he is going to wield it. Comply or fry. A character trait despotic to the core. The malevolence is revealed in his attempt to project ruthlessness as compassion and tolerance.
I think he is indirectly taking a jab at Rush...the one who kept saying the 2014 elections are to put a restraining order on him.
