Breitbart News Executive Chairman Steven K. Bannon asked the congresswoman, who was a guest on Breitbart News Saturday Sirius XM Patriot channel 125, Has there been any firm commitment from the leadership of the Republican party saying that this amnesty is not going to happen? Bachmann replied with a question, Do you want the truth? Okay, Ill tell all of Breitbart listeners what happened this week. I was floored!
In the weekly meeting called Republican Conference in the House of Representatives, we all knew that the big issue for the week was going to be the president announcing his amnesty, she explained. Bachmann recounted that all of the leadership went to the microphone, including John Boehner.
They acted as though the amnesty issue wasnt even an issue. They said that the President is going to do what hes going to do, and we are not going to get down in the mud with him. We are not going to engage, and what we are going to do is to talk about our positive solutions on jobs, the economy, education, and manufacturing, Bachmann said.
She added that each congressman who spoke reiterated that not engaging Obama and staying positive was a brilliant strategy.
"We will not engage," she reiterated with disgust.

There is always the simplest of all solutions, but it's very unlikely any president will do it.
Simply secure the border with double-fencing and adequate personnel, then enforce the law internally, especially at the employer level.
Deport any illegals who come in contact with law enforcement, and do not fall for the "we can't round up and deport 11 million people leftist scare tactic". Enforce the law and many will begin to self-deport. Over the years, the problem would be solved. But I doubt we'll have a government that will do it, simple as it is.
If it doesn’t exist in the Federal Register it doesn’t exist, period.
No they need attention, good or bad they need attention like a spoiled kid.
Your premise is flawed, while a rapist may be a narcissist, a narcissist is not necessarily a rapist.
Your statement is therefore illogical.
Further a rapist is a criminal who is actually doing something in this case a crime. Since all Obama is doing is talking, we have not actually seen the EO yet, we have no idea what if anything Obama is actually doing that may or may not be unconstitutional or illegal.
My point is we are all getting played.
“The Pubbies should move on to bigger and much more important issues, like....
good paying jobs - Get a government job.
Economic growth - There has been so much manufacturing activity in the South that they have now attracted the same unions that fundamentally transformed the former Detroit. Look out below!
Good education (destroying the teacher unions): Gov. Christy already tried that. At least he managed to lose some weight.
massive career opportunities- see “good paying jobs”
Destroying public service unions - Who are you going to get to do that? Public servants?
Shrinking the size of the federal government- That will take care of itself. Once the Federal government has employed the entire world population, our bureaucrats will be forced to eat one another.
What better way to take down a bully, egotist, liar. IGNORE HIM
Without the spotlight on his face, no crowds cheering him...this will cause him to wither on the vine. What harm to telly pubbies? oo pResident was doing nothing before the imaginary EO and will continue to do nothing now. Let the States go forward with their suits and perhaps work to see what can be done in the courts with the 1968 Reagan law. Other than the above, ignore the beast.
I’m sick of tired of the noisemaking and pretending coming from the GOP politicians in Washington.
A third party like UKIP over in the UK is what we need in this country....
I think it would be better if we had a new political party that really wants to do something like UKIP in England to vote for.
I’m still registered Republican and will vote for conservatives in primaries, but I will not vote for RINO’s like 95 percent of the GOP candidates are in the general election.
Yeh I’m pretty much done. I voted the Republican straight ticket as usual here in GA. One last time. I’m going to sit back and give the GOP a chance to see what they do to restore the Constitutional Republic. I have very little faith in their motivation. Personally I believe we went past the ballot box in Nov 2012.
The entire GOP has become a depressing joke which is now been totally exposed.
They’ve lied, hoodwinked, tricked, cheated, bullsh*tted and suckered the people so many times even the cup droolers have figured out they’ve been had.
It’s about time, but it’s waaaay too late.
Then why are you wasting time talking about it?
A third party?
But you’ll be mocked by the well connected and those on the payroll...
On a serious note, most are starting to realize the democrats and republicans in DC are all cruising on the yacht, partying in the same mansion with their own agenda.
The jig is up.
Worse.
What Obama did was essentially declare himself emperor without leaving any "legal" recourse to stop him.
Congress can act against an E.O., they cannot act against a decree to his cabinet alphabets to ignore the law, except via impeachment which Obama is hoping they attempt.
Because any attempt at impeachment will become the cassus belli to turn the country into Ferguson.
We are beyond civil means to arrest the transforming of our nation into an Imperial Fascist Oligarchy.
So in effect you are saying let him have his amnesty, say and do nothing to thwart it, and let the country be destroyed?
No, narcissists do not like negative attention. Only worship. Anything less is never good enough.
The political machine does a good job of hustling people into being more afraid of the Democrats so they vote for the Republicans.
I don’t buy that pitch anymore and in England many have woken up to the fact that the major political parties are elitist financed and serve elite political interests including open borders between nations to move cheap labor around to where its needed to serve the needs of large businesses.
27.5 perecent of voters in the United Kingdom as a whole and over 30 percent in England chose UKIP in the EU Parliament elections earlier this year. UKIP has won two parliamentary special elections since.
Last Thursday they took 2/3 of the people from the Conservative Party and 40 percent of the people from Labour to win the special election.
We need a new party with a new message that will get R’s, D’s and I’s on board.
The immigration issue is up front in UKIP’s success and a new party that says do something including sending the illegals back will get some traction in this country....
Oh clever...
Boy, I’ve never experienced that kind of rebuttal or retort.
If you want to propagandize for the left, be my guest.
I’m not a pathetic whiny bitch and have no interest in curling up in a ball with your kind.
Now go cry to someone else.
That’s right make me the issues...
Good move.
Boy, your clever tactics are genius.
My post #95 cuts to the chase that UKIP is using immigration as a leading issue since membership in the EU means cheap labor flooding the UK. UKIP says get out of the EU.
A new party that says close borders and even send people back now will get some traction since the big parties are both committed to flooding the country with foreign labor for business purposes.
Yes they can. It has to be in writing to get the cabinet to do it, and anything in writing is actionable.
His memos require the executive branch employees to follow the existing law.
He has to have an EO to put any amnesty into effect. No EO, no unlawful amnesty.
So no, you are incorrect.
And besides, the congress doesn't have the Constitutional right to go directly to the Supreme Court. In Art III, the States do have the right to go directly to the Supreme Court.
