Think if you had, on both counts, you would be feeling differently.

No, I don't feel any differently. From all accounts the kid was not pointing the gun at the officer. The cop had every opportunity to defuse the situation. Nowadays, it's kill first and ask questions later. Have you ever been in a situation where a gun was used against you? Would you want them to shoot you without hesitation? I have had guns pointed at my face and was able to talk them down. Clearly, these rookies are nervous nellies who should not be given a gun. A child is dead.

So you are saying the police, when they drove up and observed the thug hiding the weapon and then when asked to raise his hands and the thug pulled the weapon, they should have waited until the kid either shot at them or dropped the weapon.

You are saying you are going to bet your life the thug is not planning to shoot when he pulls a hidden weapon, that you have enough time to defuse the situation.

Very interesting.
